Reinvention …. again…and again…and again…

·

Yesterday, my good friend Suzette Banzo posted a #TBT about the time she was in the NY Post and they featured her in a story about “Second Acts”, people who started over in new careers. Her story has her going from working at Verizon to becoming an actress/model. Sounds familiar? Well it does to me, for sure.  I went to working in the design office of Baby Gap, being laid off and then to deciding to finally pursue my dream of becoming an actress. What struck me most of the post is that she talked about being in her 3rd & 4th act at this point. Something else that I also totally relate to as well.

I feel like at this point in my life, I’m probably in my 9th act by now! Lol! I’m serious! I started to think about it, and I’ve tried a few different avenues of work & lifestyles. I’ve never regretted trying something new. Sometimes I regretted not trying something sooner. What’s wrong with reinventing yourself?

Is there a limited? Do you come off as flaky or do people see you as an inspiration?

I would say %90 of the time I’ve taking a new opportunity and ran with it.

It’s that %10 of the time I regretted not just doing it. Those moments of second guessing always haunt me.  However, it always seems to work out, so is it really a mistake?

MY POINT: I’ve appreciated all the opportunities I’ve had and all the future opportunities that are yet to appear. As an artist, I think it critically to keep reinventing yourself and learning new things. It keeps it fresh!

What about you? What are your thoughts on reinventing yourself?
