Mindful Eating: A Journey to Better Health

I’m hoping this post doesn’t trigger anyone. Food consumption is a very polarizing topic. I myself had issues with binge eating in my past. Money was an issue in my family due to circumstances beyond my control. So, what I got to eat as a child was very limited. When I moved out and making my own money, I really indulge in “treats” I couldn’t afford before.

On top of that , I was an emotional eater. I would eat my feelings all the time. It didn’t changed until recently when I  decided to go to addiction counseling & work on myself.

I’m still working on myself.

I’m a work in progress.

I also seek out an nutritionist to help educate myself on more helpful ways to fuel my body.

One of the techniques that help me get  balance with my eating is mindful eating.

Mindful eating is a practice that involves paying attention to the physical and mental sensations of eating. It encourages individuals to savor their food, make conscious choices, and develop a healthier relationship with food.
